Join your DC Carolina Club and local music lovers at Gypsy Sally’s  as The Riverbreaks headline a great night of music and fun.

Formed in 2009 in Chapel Hill, The Riverbreaks boast four UNC alumni in its star-studded lineup: Jesse Prentice-Dunn ’07 (lead guitar), Neela Rajendra ’03 (violin), Andrew Satten ’07 (keyboard, organ and synthesizer) and Ryan Bailey ’07 (songwriter, vocalist, rhythm guitar). These D.C. Tar Heels released their second album, Wildfire, music described as “sonically combining the best of Americana and indie rock with folk and country influences.”

The Riverbreaks is an Americana rock band from the District, known for its narrative lyrical depth that spans themes of youth, the Latin American drug war, and nature. The band has released two full-length albums, its most recent being Wildfire, recorded with acclaimed Chapel Hill, NC producer Chris Stamey. Fresh off its spring 2016 European tour that featured shows in London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona, and hadving toured more than 20 states across the country, The Riverbreaks are known for curating rowdy, yet artistically provocative live sets that have spurred a dedicated fan following.
